The annual Richards Bay to Durban Epic Regatta is one the most challenging extreme small cat sailing events available.

It requires fitness, stamina and endurance to complete the over 200km down wind dash.

This is an extreme downwind sailing regatta and you need to be fit and able to handle strong winds and rough seas.

However it is a fantastic event of about 200km of downwind sailing in one go!

Generall conditions that can  be expected are from 15 to 30 knts and reasonably choppy seas.

The regatta can  be sailed on any one of the three days from Friday to Sunday, depending on wind conditions.
