Dear Hobie sailors,
The announcement of the Hobie MultiWorlds for Hobie14, Dragoon, Wild Cat and Tiger at Lake Garda,23rd July to 1st August 2015 has generated a lot of interest. The world championships is subject to approval from the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) and the Italian Sailing Federation. Campione Univela, Lake Garda in Italy will host the MultiWorlds and Hobie 16 Europeans. The Hobie MultiWorlds is a bring-your-own-boat world championships. There maybe limited in new charter boats for some of the classes. As always when the details have been confirmed the IHCA will announce this to all the sailors. So don’t wait book your travel and accommodation now so your are not disappointed.
The European Hobie 16 Women, Masters and Open Spinnaker will be held at the same location 25-26 July. Hobie 16 Open Europeans 27th July to 1st August.
Campione Univela is a professionally run sailing club that will give the Hobie sailors the very service. Lake Garda is well known as one of the best sailing locations in the world. It is also one of the most picturesque locations to attend. We all hope as many of you as possible will attend the Hobie World Championship to enjoy the wonderful sailing conditions and atmosphere.
Also Notice of Race have been released for two regattas that incorporate long distance racing. The Hobie Cat 16 BSP Oceania Championship and the Total Fiji Hobie Challenge in August. In September Tanzacat with racing and Zanzibar Raid the event this year is 8 days of racing in the waters of the Msasani Bay and the Zanzibar Channel.
Hobie Asian Championships 2014 Hong Kong is being held Saturday 18th to Sunday 19th October 2014. There are some high quality charter boats available. So just pack your wet suit, life jacket and trap harness to be involved in some high quality Hobie sailing.
The Philippine Inter-Island Sailing Foundation now officially invites participants to the 15th Philippine Hobie Challenge, scheduled on March 14th to 22nd 2015, starting from Laiya and ending in Nasugbu, Batangas.
PHC15 continues the tradition of the country's premier extreme sailing event 250 nautical miles travelled over a week-long gruelling race, with pit stops in some of the Philippines' best islands and beaches. Have a look at some of the previous Philippines Challenges to see some of the beautiful islands they race around.
The Fiji Hobie Challenge concluded and has lots of photos of the sailing. While the racing was around Bau Island the home of some of the worst massacres and cannibal orgies in history. All the Hobie sailors were not put on the menu and will be back racing next year. Already plans are underway to make next year an even bigger sailing event.

The North and South American Hobie 16 Championships will be selection trials for the PanAm Games.
Alban Rossollin will be doing a series of coaching for the South America Hobie sailors. Alban is well known in Hobie circles in the South Pacific and Europe having won many championships on the Hobie 16.
